| Pioneer Band Attack Facebook Application & Game This game, also residing in a Facebook Fan Page, propels the users to get other users to play the game. Taking advantage of Facebook’s viral capabilities the game was soon popular in the niche target market. Users create their own “band”, inviting three of their Facebook friends to be part of it. They have to participate in activities (ie: play shows, buy assets, instruments to earn experience and money, to become a more “powerful” band). The more powerful a band happens to be, the more chances it has to win the Band Attack challenge, which was a competition between bands. All the important events in a “band” life were published on its owner’s wall. Users were also required to get fans to advance in the game, encourage players to invite as many friends as possible to join their fan base, and helping to make the game a viral success. |
